Our Classrooms Are…
Vibrant learning spaces designed to foster independence, social skills, and a love of discovery. We follow a Reggio Emilia-inspired approach that encourages children to explore and learn through play.
Schedule and Activities
What will we do today? The answer varies. Every day is filled with discovery through structure and experimentation as children engage with the curriculum, enrichment activities and the outdoors. Opportunities abound to explore, learn, play and problem solve, while developing strong roots in foundational skills and school readiness.
Morning Assembly
Assembly is the heart of the daily experience. It’s our kick-off time to connect teachers, children and families with the approach for the day. Each classroom’s assembly varies based on the ages and interests of the children and includes attendance and breakfast.
Projects and Curriculum
Life is full of projects both big and small. Projects are arranged into themes and sprout from the classroom environment. Work happens at many levels—through the center community, classroom groups or individually. Projects facilitate a school-readiness curriculum that includes literacy, early math and science, and the arts.
Outdoor Play
Spending time outdoors is purposeful. Outdoor time throughout the day includes both structured activities and self-directed play. Children also participate in gardening, nature exploration and community walks.
Meals and Snacks
Sharing a meal together is part of being a community. Breakfast and snacks are most often served in the classroom, while lunch is served in the multipurpose space to support coming together as a larger, diverse group. Meals are served family-style and served on tableware that’s age appropriate. Learn More.
